@DOOMVSHALO No Problem. Me either. We can agree there for sure.

@shaindaman13 I wasn't trying to debate this, I was just saying how it goes, also for me the star trek is too flashy for me but I do like the space battles but want to see more complex fights in the future.
-
@DOOMVSHALO Well whatever. I still didn't like it and I hope they straighten it out.

@shaindaman13 Actually it was refered by Nero since he wanted revenge against Spock for not saving his homeworld, its even mentioned clearly in Star Trek Online too which continues after the main universe.
-
@DOOMVSHALO Kinda hard to do that when the alternate universe was never referred to in the actual movie. And Romulus was not destroyed. It was Vulcan.
-
@shaindaman13 just see it as a alternate universe but I'm still not happy about Romulas being destroyed.

@shaindaman13 the new movie is a alternate universe

Am I the only one who's pissed about the time line being completely fucked up by the last so called Trek film? You hear a lot of complaining about the special fx and the ship design ( rightly so) but I never hear any discourse about Vulcan being obliterated and the fact that everything that was depicted in TNG, DS9 an so on are no longer valid. This whole J.J.Abrams thing is a complete disaster! I'm seriously thinking of forming an organized protest. We need Trek back on TV! Who's with me?

you used normal lens flares, you should've used anamorphic lens flares. theres a difference ;)
Yeah what was up with those shots in the new movie where you had a hundred laser blasts coming from random places on the ship? At least in the old Trek movies the phaser and torpedo fire came from actual turrets and tubes on the ship.
In JJ Abrams' "Star Trek" phaser bursts come out of the bathroom windows and left turn signal blinker.

thank god JJ had nothing to do with VI the brilliant Nick Meyer, who like Abrams knew nothing about Star Trek before his first ST movie the Wrath of Khan, actually learned it pretty quickly. Unlike Abrams
