Question, doesn't chinese writing go from right to left? Also is comma used instead of period in chinese?

@ndawgtkd Chinese was written from vertically from right to left in the old time. Now we write from left to write. Comma is a comma, same as in English. Period is a circle instead of point.

how long do you think it takes to be able to have a simple conversation in Chinese?

I'm learning Chinese right now..every week I study for at least 4 hours of Chinese.. I'm just a beginner and I only know about 200 characters, but I can't remember them all.. Do you think it will take more than a year?

Do you have some tips when studying Chinese??

Should I know both simplified and traditional characters...?
