  • Arabians are NOT gaited. They only can do w/t/c and that's it. I've owned and shown them my whole life. They have a very floating fast trot naturally and it's fun to show it off. When they are collected and with shoes/pads, it enhances that amazing trot. :-) But they're not gaited.

  • Look up the Kelloggs Arabians if you don't think Arabians are gaited. ;)

  • there not gaited

  • Gesh yall need to calm down..no arabians are not gaited horses, they are very very smooth however. english pleasure is not sruel, ya it does look a lil strict and uptight but it doesnt hurt the horse. special shoes help enhance there step. beautiful horses.

  • Yes, it is ARTIFICIALLY enhanced with shoes, pads, whatever they can do to make them trot bigger and bigger and BIGGER!!!!!!!! I am 60 yrs. old, have shown purebred and half-arab saddle seat and over the years have seen the natural extension and lovely movement of these horses RUINED by this sort of stuff. No wonder some of these folks think they're gaited. We have Gene LaCroix to thank for ruining this particular class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just for ridingsaddleseat I ride a arab/SB and she is gaited I even have a Purebred that is gaited. THere are different deffinitions of gaited horses.

  • actually arabians are not gaited. 'gaited' means they have 2 extra gaits beyond the normal 3. the gene to 'slow gait' is NOT in their gene pool. and the special shoes just enhance natural knee action. NOT GAITING. i show arabs and have NEVER seen a five gaited class, even at regionals or nationals.

  • Arabians are gaited horses! Nice try but iv also seen those special shoes on some of the "gaited horses".

  • arabians are NOT gaited horses. a gaited horse has a special gate (other than the walk, trot, canter) that is genetic. these arabs just have a lot of unnatural, knee action at the trot and canter
