@octohorse she uses humor to show a way to move away from suffering. Us Indians use humor all the time as out situations are horrendous sometimes. IT saves us and its NOT silly - it works when nothing else does. If you can't laugh at yourself you probably can't love yourself either or your just plain too serious! understand the context.

I do not think it is funny to refer to our suffering as satisfying our martyrdom. I think it is insulting and I don't like it. Everyone is doing their best, alot of us arrived in a pile of circumstances that take many many years to unlayer and arrive here, and we deserve admiration, not insults. This is directed to the idiot laughing and if Esther thinks suffering is silly her too. Nothing is unnecessary until it is everything grows at its own rate
