These have good sound clarity but lack bass and mine broke. The mic and volume stopped working. This video shows how to swap the cable and mic over with a new set from the standard set which are the same.

  • Oh btw, the left speaker dies not have a green and red cable, it has a red and orange... How do I solder them? Red on the same place and orange in the place of green? Thanks

  • Thanks dude! You saved me 80$ :D

  • This vid just saved me 80 bucks. Thanks!

  • Very glad I saw this, I was about to just cut the wires to do the earpiece swap. This method is much cleaner. I highly recommend taking close up photos of the earpiece wires before de-soldering them just to be certain you put the wires back on the correct way round. Also just to be clear right ear has red/copper wires, left ear has green/copper wires.

I used a pair of helping hands from Maplin as this is quite tricky. Once done they worked like a charm.

    Thanks!
