This video is pretty much the opposite of the one where I make Tifa deal more and more damage.

With a power of 2065.5, Behemoth Horn is the strongest manipulable physical attack in the entire game. Level 7 Tifa's lowest possible HP when equipped with the Ziedrich is 50. Let's see if we can reduce the damage enough for her to survive it.

The Ziedrich cuts the damage from Behemoth Horn in half because the attack is Punch Elemental. Punch is one of the five hidden physical elements in the game that most people don't know about, and the Ziedrich cuts damage from four of these in half.

I could have reduced the damage even more if I boosted Tifa's Defense to 255 with Guard Sources, but I would need 89 and getting that many takes time. I can't waste my patience with this game on something like that.

  • Very good video.

    What about Magical Damage?

  • Well, all elemental damage can be reduced to 0 and absorbed.

As for non-elemental, you can't really reduce it much. You have Sadness, MBarrier and Dragon Force, but that's it.

  • cant hero drinks reduce the damage even more?

Also I want you to find the strongest enemy before aerith dies and try it on her at level 2 :P

  • 0.75% of Crit damage (which is actualy 1.50% normal damage... wow...

  • Not even Behemoth can defeat Dragon Force, the hardest metal known to man.

  • It's nifty, but honestly, kind of useless. There's no real reason to do this, but you did remind me that Dragon Force can be used twice.

  • Nice

  • @SuperGuitarDude Not at all >_> The reason why you get a Game Over screen if your party is knocked out is not because they are dead, it's because, first and foremost, it's a rule; you're playing a game, and the rule is 'do not get all your team knocked unconscious'. It does not mean the characters have died, it means the game is over, nothing more, nothing less.

The other consensus is that since all your team members are unconscious, the enemies finish you off. (yummy!)

  • @konkakonkadudu It all depends which FFIV :P

  • hero drink also raises defence

  • @SuperGuitarDude

Here is my take on it, I actually discussed this topic some time ago. The reason that Life and Revive don't work on Aeris is because she was prepared to die. She knew Sephiroth was there to kill her. She wanted to return to the lifestream so as to completely summon holy. As it was demonstrated in FF4, those who perish by willful sacrifice cannot be revived. Only those that die against their will can be revived by spells.

  • lol @ using megalixers to heal 38 hp. That's what's known as conspicuous consumption.
