A timelapse video of our ECE 362 Mini-Project in action in the HKN Lounge, at Purdue University, IN.

The Digital Word Clock displays time using English words instead of numbers.

This project was designed by Aditya Balasubramanian, Austin Chen, Kushal Patel, and Ryan Hannah for Purdue University's ECE 362 course "Microprocessor System Design and Interfacing." Over 2,000 lines of assembly code, $200 in components and materials, and 100 man-hours (including an all nighter) were invested in this project.

Features:
-Secondary LCD display (HH:MM:SS)
-Time set/reset mode
-Hourly custom sound sample chime
-Manual brightness adjustment (slider)
-Automatic brightness adjustment (ambient light sensor)
-Independent power regulator with backup battery
