Dr. Hyman is at the forefront of the most important change to the way this country does medicine. If each and everyone of us makes the recommended lifestyle changes, we will set the example and lead the way for others. We must be the leaders. Margaret Mead was right. For me eliminating gluten and dairy and taking a few supplements has changed my life. We all can DO IT!!!!!

All nice words but as long as there is big money to be made the drug company's will do whatever it takes to get a buck.

Obviously lots of people are accessing your info. Please say something about how the Monsanto GMOs with roundup ready produce seeds and genetic mutation of cross pollination with natural plants will effect health of the planet in the future. I am very careful not to use any of their products or GMO produce but it seems that it will be unavoidable in the future

It is encouraging to hear Dr. Hyman's enthusiasm and hope about fundamental change -- from treating diseases, to building and supporting health -- yet I can't imagine it is realistic to think such a transformation can occur.
For my part, I have thought we may as well achieve national "health" care first, and then turn it upside down into what is actually useful.
I look forward to following Dr. Hyman's activities.

Deception in advertising in general but especially regarding food and food products is manic. Sadly, and unfortunately for all of us money is a motivator and takes front seat to integrity and truth. Dr. Hyman is correct...the answer doesn't lie in waiting for the advertisers to change, the answer lies in our own choices. Purchasing power is real power. Educate yourself, buy books, make infored decisions and adjust your family's eating habits NOW. WE have the POWER TO CHANGE OUR WORLD.

Everyone should get a $1500/year voucher, so that at least a person can afford a basic coverage package. To pay for it get rid of the tax breaks for companies providing health insurance.
Also, if they go with this national policy that they are talking about, then they should allow doctors to opt out if they want. That will ensure a competitive market. If they don't want the patients no problem, someone else will surely take them.

These are all great ideas, but honestly they're not new.
Guys like Gary Null were talking about 97% of these "9 points" over 25 years ago! Oh well.
It usually takes about 35 years for a paradigm to shift. As long as people get the info, I guess its all good.
get the soft drink companies away from kids too, this country is digging its grave with its teeth.
