I Shot The Sheriff - 'The Edge Project'

'The Edge Project' is meant to explore the 'edginess' that is possible with steel pans playing atypical and mostly non-traditional Trinidadian music. In 2005, Kyle created a series of prototype steel pans with specialized metal that in turn lent themselves to be played at extreme volumes. That opened up a new form of ensemble play that Kyle had never experienced. You will most likely hear that 'edginess' and energy in Kyle's playing. One disclaimer is floor monitors were present at these performances, but unfortunately not leveled correctly for proper sonic evaluation. You might notice Kyle's playing being a bit 'over the top' at times. Nevertheless, from 2005 to 2010 the pans have only been lightly tuned twice. No major pitch adjusting has been necessary. We hope you can enjoy some unapologetic music played in a new way via steel pans.

We must stress - these are prototype pans and not fully representative of our former line of traditional and professional instruments.
