Here is yet another example of a way you can keep a betta fish in a community tank. If you want to find out more, look at my previous betta videos.

  • when you mention about female bettas is that 5 females with one male, AND tetras?

  • @danielb1787 well, in my old tank I had more then five females, a male, and 3 red eye tetras. So you can add tetras if you want. Just try and get a big group of females.

  • This is a great video! I own a small tropical fish store and my customers are always asking questions that pertain to the information you have provided here..... good video I will share:)

  • @stevestropicalfish Thank you very much! I really appreciate it.

  • I also wanted to know how to make sure your guppies dont over population my ank tnak you

  • @laceymay611 my guppies eat their babies :P

  • @petgirl8 I have two community tanks with a male betta in each for over a year. So far both my males have not killed a single fish. The name was given to then because they use the males to fight in a sport just like they do with roosters, dogs...ect. Under the correct circumstances these fish are peaceful.

  • I might try that

  • I see one of your guppies is pregnant!

  • lovly just one thing remove the chineas algea eater... as it grows older it will become extreemly agressive eat your plants and stress/attack your fish. fish with lots of hiding places still show teratorial behaviour but have more spreadout places to make their teratories

  • Also, what should I look for in a betta for my guppies?

  • Hey, would you mind watching and commenting on my video "Adding a Betta To My Guppy Tank"? I only ask because I made that video because I saw this one and it was supposed to be a sort of video response, but I couldn't figure that out on my phone. It's just on my channel. I put it up an hour ago. If you could do that, that'd be great. If you posted this video almost a year ago, you've probably already named the betta. What'd you name it

  • i jusr got a new crowntail betta named Alejandro and got him 2 guppy girls named Starsruck and Paperazzi (all lady gaga song titles) and they seem to be doing just fine in their 1gal. i know its not big enough but i just got it. i will get a bigger tank later on. and could you tell me if i could get another guppy? or would it be to crowded?

  • nice tank , please pernouce BETA, not Better fish xD

  • Beautiful tank! I like how you went with the natural look to your tank. That is similar to how I have mine set up. I plan to make a video about my guppy tank and ill try to show my betta fish too. His name is Blue. I think Aurora would be a cool name for your betta.

  • I have some guppies in with my betta and it has really brought him 'out of his shell'. I have found that the guppies tend to keep their boisterousness to each other and leave the betta alone. with the betta being left alone, he seems quite happy to just glide about the tank 'acting tough', lol!

  • How do u choose a calm betta what do u look for??
