    it's the kyrie, which is the first movement of a mass, a five movement work i think? may be seven.. which takes the latin set texts from the catholic mass and puts them to music.. or something along those lines xD

  • The Kyrie is part of the standard Latin text for the Catholic Mass. So Yes, it could be called 'sacred' music. Most composers have written masses with the same text - try looking for the Requiem Masses by Fauré, Verdi or Mozart, probably the most performed of all. I have also sung Requiem Masses by von Suppé and Karl Jenkins (contemporary composer). I would agree with you that this young choir gave an excellent performance of a lovely work.
