  • Michel Glotz (EMI producer) said on TV he owned two performances of the 1964 Normas.

  • @pziglioli I wish he will publish them....

  • @pziglioli well, if it's true, it's crime against humanity not to release them!

Like the other idiot who owns the two concerts in London (1958 and 1959) where she sings Butterly. Mimì and Casta diva...

  • @stefanodepeppo On French TV about 7-8 years ago, I remember very well because it shocked me. The program was "Vivement dimanche" with Fanny Ardant as a guest of honour, probably upon the release of Zeffirelli's "Callas Forever". He distinctly said "I have the first two performances of 1964", implying he was the only owner.

  • @pziglioli but when did he say such a thing?...

  • @gilgameshdue the recording is original!it is her 1964 voice!!

  • @MariaCallasLegend Unfortunately Glotz passed away a few months ago, let's hope they are not lost with his death!

  • Brilliant and perfect Maria, these 2:18 are worth any other Divas entire performance.

  • @pziglioli There's also some rumour of a Walkure owned by Corelli's widow, but she wasn't yet ready "to part with it", she's supposed to have said to EMI executives. Unfortunately we'll have to wait for these people to pass in order to get some recordings. So sad, Maria Callas belongs to humanity, not just the happy few...
