  • Uniform, I'cant see some of your options what you have... Like nurms togle or select edge ring, what is this?

  • Nurms Toggle should be there by default in the top left quad. Make sure your object is an editable poly, not editable mesh. Edge Ring option is under "selection" rollout of the modify panel. If you like to add it to the quad menu, look for my head modeling tutorial part 1 and I explained it there how to add this to quad menu.

  • @thenewgeogzm the edges? on the top left of the perspective window it tells you your view and render mode. you need to select edged faces.

  • How do you get that grid thing to pop up on the box?

  • I am using 3DS MAX 2010, and I can't find the HW section your using on your model... help me please!

  • @uniform2007 I'm using 2012, edge ring is NOT in the selection roll-out...

  • @TheIntruxion Uniform, but not realistic. This is why I don't do box modeling. It's a much better idea to start out in 2d, and expand from there. Done correctly, also quicker. Ground-up creation can allow a highly realistic model after application of meshsmooth, while maintaining a low poly count. Maybe I oughta upload a quick tutorial.

  • Thanks Uniform! Very, very, very helpful! I've been struggling modelling a hand for a while now & this has helped no doubt!

  • Hi! Nice tutorial! But in 3ds 2011 I haven't Nurbs Toggle in the quad. I try to modify the user interface but it doesn't appear. Where can I find this tool in anothe way? Thanks!

  • Thank you so much you saved my but
