There were a lot of protests when she wanted to take her show (it's a show, she's putting on her schtick) to Canadian Universities. She's not at the level that she should be in front of University students.  She's right that people need some radiation though. That's like saying you need some gravity. There's "some" everywhere, and we evolved in it, and actually need some.

I think the point is that you need some. Crew of nuclear subs get very little, as the sub's systems are well shielded. They've learned over time to give them some, or they will get sick. A bit of sunlight can be good for your health. Not tons, a bit.
