@TrainSignalInc I have four drives in my RAID 5 array. And four is an even number. Here: "There has to be at least three disks to create a RAID 5 array". How is that?

RAID 5 will work on even number of disks as well. Like 4, 6, 8 etc.
But 3 disks are the absolute minimum.

When you explain RAID 5 what do you mean with "striped across odd number of disks"? As you show in the picture you CAN use 4 disks or even number of disks greater than 3. Or did I misunderstand that line?

@hakos3d Sorry for the confusion. It does have to be an odd number of discs on a RAID 5 with a minimum of three.
