Bill Danoff had written "Take Me Home, Country Roads" for John Denver. When Denver set up his own Windsong record label, the Starland Vocal Band was one of the first groups he signed up.

I loved this song when I was like 7 or 8 years old...much to my mother's dismay! She dismissed this classic tune as "smut", lol! I wonder what she'd think of the crap her grandkids are listening to!

Afternoon Delight is a double entendre. It refers to having a "nooner," of course... but it's also the name of a seafood dish at a restaurant that the Starland Vocal Band frequented.

This really brings back memories. Actually GREAT memories. Wish I could turn back time to the summer of 1976...and do it all over again!
