You can't even turn on the discovery channel with out seeing that "bear" character mutilating some of my personal favorite species of snakes and monitor lizards purely for the shock factor and vile human entertainment, and a hell of a lot more reptile enthusiasts watch the discovery channel than rat enthusiasts watch me feeding my animals. You know what I do? I simply don't watch it! It's just that simple, you should try it sometime.

Lemme guess...you smashed that poor rat against a solid surface to "stun it", right? You fucking scum bag.

No, I actually picked the rat up by the tail and gave it one sharp deliberate blow to the back of the head with a 12" x 1" cylindrical piece of oak, where the skull meets the spine, in order to separate the spinal column and paralize the head so that it no longer had the ability to bite my snake. It's a technique I developed more than a decade ago, & it is very effective considering I have never had an animal suffer from a rat or rabbit bite. If you need more info feel free to ask. :)
