Bob Schieffer remembers receiving a phone call from Marguerite Oswald, then bringing her down to the police station. Jim Lehrer, Bob Huffaker, Bert Shipp, and Darwin Payne are also of those commenting.

Short news-segment concerning the city of Dallas and its occupants, and the reactions after the assassination.

The reporters are forbidden to ask Oswald any questions.

Additional scenes (some more familiar) from the police station, packed with reporters,policemen and civilians. And Jack Ruby.

DA Henry Wade addresses the cameras regarding Oswald.

Why did Oswald not have the time to scoop up the 3 cartridge shells lying at his feet and dispose of them,but apparently he had the time to hide the rifle? Why wasn't there a whiff of gunpowder odor on the 6th floor seconds after the shooting? Oswald was exactly what he claimed to be, a patsy.

There was, and is, no constitutional right to have access to a reporter when charged with a felony.

9. Nov. 23rd 7:15 pm-Oswald is lead past reporters back to his cell where he says "I emphatically deny these charges".

10. Nov.24th 11:21- Oswald is to be transferred to the County jail. Ruby shoots Oswald.

That's a total of 10 times he could have repeated his claim of being a "patsy" a fall guy yet he says he's a patsy only once.

If he were a patsy he would have said it every time a reporter came near him.

He was no patsy. He was guilty as sin.

6. Nov.23rd 11:27 am- Oswald speaks into a reporters microphone and says "I would like to contact Mr. Abt, A-B-T Mr. Abt in New York to defend me".

7. Nov.23rd 2:14 pm-Oswald is taken to another line-up. NBC films and records him protesting having to do another line-up.

8. Nov.23rd 6:24 pm-Oswald is lead past reporters on the 3rd floor of Dallas PD and he complains of being denied "the basic fundamental hygienic rights like a shower".

4. Nov. 23rd 12:10 am (The Midnight Press Conference) Oswald is brought in front of scores of reporters, photographers and television cameras. He is given an opportunity to speak to the press and does so. This is where he learns he's been charged with the assassination of JFK.

5.Nov.23rd 10:25 am-Oswald is transferred from Homicide to the Robbery inside Dallas PD. Reporters and photographers are present in the hallway with him.

1. Nov. 22nd 4:10 pm- Oswald was arrested at the Texas Theater and is walked through Dallas PD. He raises his cuffed fist and is photographed.

2. Nov. 22nd 7:28 pm- Oswald says to the press "These people have given me a hearing without legal representation".

3.Nov.22nd 7:55 pm- Oswald says' They've taken me in because I lived in the Soviet Union. I'm just a patsy".

@LoneNutter1 Oswald was not made available to the media very often. How many times do you think he was made available prior to getting gunned down after less than 48 hours in custody?

@Moreofthesamez He had a press conference around midnight. He had ample opportunity to the press from around the world he was a "patsy" a fall guy. But he didn't.

I'd be a little more discriminating about calling someone a dimwit when you've just displayed being one yourself.
