  • In many of the videos i have seen of this movement the pianist plays the presto section so fast it looses its clarity and you cant hear the melody, each note.

This gentlemen cares so much about music he is willing to slow down the tempo a little bit both in the allegro ma non troppo and the presto section in order to keep the expression accsesible.

    And i like that.

  • @Hobott Depends of what your criteria of "better": she is great and plays it *faster*, but seems to be in a race to finish asap. I miss some tempo variations in her performance of this piece, as the master Arrau does.

    That's "better" for me

  • @Ray0X0 Agree, Valentina is a great virtuous, i like her a lot, but she plays this piece a bit fast. I miss some variation in tempos as does the master Arrau, perhaps the greatest Beethoven's interpreter of all times.

  • @Hobott Yeah, Lsistsa is a great player but I don't think she plays this better than Arrau. Everyone has their own tastes and preferences and there's nothing to be doing a fight about it.

  • this video is 240p for safety reasons. great artist.

  • now play it blindfolded lol

  • These of you who disrespect Lisitsa are just very close minded bigots without a true musical criterions. According to you Arrau, Kempff are better as they're more established names. Fools.

  • Lisitsa plays it a lot better. She's great!

  • El mejor!

  • @joeblack6661 - Being that he probably has @ 50 years more experience playing I'd say your comment is rather dumb.

  • @fbarrazc Beethoven is beyond Lisistsa and should be reserved for the greats (Arrau, Richter, Barenboim etc
