The Venus Project + The Zeitgeist Movement + The Thrive Movement + The Occupy Revolution could be UNSTOPPABLE!
-
@thunderpants10 Now that the Occupy revolution has gone global... that brings all of the continents into focus. If there is a message to be spread and implemented, I think the Venus Project could be the goal & answer to the change that the protester's are asking for.

They said there will be no jobs!..so what are we going to be doing ? who is going to build and maintain this city ? who is going to arrange and gather the resources that we need to live ? Who is going to make the decisions for a city to survive ? It seems to me whoever has decided this project they have taken the decisions for us!

The redesign of our culture, values and it has to be related to the caring capacity of the earth, NOT SOME HUMAN OPINION" well if that is what the venus project is about it will not be any better than what we live in today. Everyone should be entitled to an opinion if not then an Utopian Communism will rule. The very nature of redesigning humans values etc is what the NWO have been doing all along. Our values should be related to the caring of each individual and earth equally.

What if I don't want to change the way I live? What if I'm more intelligent than you and I realize that the only way to bring peace to Earth is to eradicate the human race? What if you're stupid and think that your plan can stop all violence?
-
The resource based economy is identical to communism. The whole Venus idea lacks the basic motivational factor for humans. No one wants to leave in a society where all the needs are fulfilled without struggle and no competition exists.
This whole video circles around technology and technology at first place was the product if competition .
No competition = No improvement

For some reason, ever since I was a child I felt I had been born ahead of my time. I didn't believe in the education system, authority, law.. or anything that I saw around me. Before I could understand it, I didn't believe in property or buying and selling goods. I took no real interest in anything that was part of the status quo. I had always campaigned and acted against it. As soon as I saw TVP and TZM everything made perfect sense to me. I had always felt our evolution was being stunted.

@Cohagentron I think most of those things you speak of are sadly a byproduct of our upbringing in a monetary society. Whether directly related to money and property or not, many sicknesses in society are caused by a feeling of inadequacy in some way, or social pressures.. Movies and education sadly reinforce these ideals, which are detrimental to us. I think if man feels comfortable, has everything he needs, then he will interact in far better ways than he does now.
1:47 You lose me at free from all laws..... at which point my bullshit-o-meter went off the charts.
If you force people to not raise the status of one person over another you are creating laws whether written or unwritten. If you eliminate money, that is another law.

If you consider people adhering to an unwritten code of conduct law then yes there would always be laws. The vid refers to a codified set of rules created arbitrarily and enforced with violence. We can’t force anyone to not raise status. You would just be unable to claim status through physical possessions. People would still compete in beauty, talent, etc. We don’t need a law against money. I’m sure most people would still keep money in their homes along with old pics and baby shoes.

Now as the Ägypt people revolting against their government, it could be the right time to implement the Venus project concept and get it into reality as their political system is currently neutralized and without a lead. How do you people see that ?How would you implement it?

In order to work, a resource based economy must be able to generate abundance. If we can’t provide more than enough for people they will form their own sub economies in order to get what they want. In this case, Egypt clearly does not have the resources, infrastructure and education/skill levels needed. Currently there is no one country that fits the bill; we still need at least a continent.
How to implement change is still being debated. Right now the focus is on spreading the idea.

@thunderpants10 -thats right but Masdar city is a step towards a resource&recycle no emission society. There is still the monetary system but the infrastructure is set. The basic concept as Jaque envisioned it are set. You have underground delivery systems, electric computer guided car pods, enviroment bases systems ect,

I have to admit I’m not really up to date on the current state of the economy in Egypt. Masdar city looks breath taking and is clearly a step in a hopeful direction. I would like to see a proper survey of any suggested region before passing judgment. I think any country trying to make this change will most likely have a decades long process to go through.
