The Kaiser Bolted Bracket (KBB) is a Special Moment Frame connection
which is shop fillet welded then installed entirely by bolting in the
field. It saves hours of installation time and money and is tested
and proven to meet the highest standards. The KBB connection
is preapproved in the ANSI/AISC 358-05-s1 Seismic
Provisions Code.

Imagine retrofitting a building without welding! The KBB retrofit
version is bolted in both directions to provide the seismic retrofit
without field welding. It is simply drilled and bolted in place!
