If i have a really slow internet connection, would buying this D-link 4500 router improve my connection, or do i have to contact my ISP? Someone reply back please. I can't play mw2, i'm always lagging and it's hard for me to join games and my NAT type is open....

I need 400 ft and with my older N D-lick I keep dropping out. Anyone with any ideas ? It is just the one computer that I'm having the problem with. Can the cold weather stop it from working ? The router is in the attic without heat. HUM?????
