Some of the most amazing rock music ever. An insane genius, with a ridiculously-great studio band & producer.
Hard to find his albums, but check them out if you can.

Drove from my house to a friend's place (about 80 miles) one sunny day in 1978 listening to KROQ . When I arrived, I immediately told my friend "I can't live another minute without Tonio K's album." So we went to Tower Records and bought it. Partied hard that night. Saw Tonio K at the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach, CA back when it was still near the pier on PCH. Did you know that Tonio wrote lyrics for both Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols and Burt Bacharach? Strange but true.

Some of Tonio's songs had some fun lyrics, his live shows (including cooking pancakes onstage and throwing them into the crowd) were amazing ... but there is such a deep side to him and it was reflected in so many of his songs about relationships, people, the world - forever relevant. Need a good shock to the sensitivities, need songs to cry to? If you haven't heard "Say Goodbye", or "Sons of the Revolution", do so, hear the messages, cry, get mad, do something and create positive change!!!!!

Anyone who doesn't know of Tonio and his music and lyrics, is absolutely missing out! I was so fortunate to have seen him a few times live - LOVED his live shows, he and his band were AWESOME!!! I've always wished he was more known commercially ... his lyrics are right on about so many issues, relevant today for sure, he still needs to be heard!!! We need to get him out there somehow!!! Love you Tonio!!!

"Life in the Foodchain" and "Amerika" are two of my favourite albums from the 70:s! I still listen to them quite often.
