  • I wish she was still running!

  • Yes! A steamer should not be just a static display.

  • Man, 611 is a Beautiful locomotive

  • Thats the way its supposed to be. The J on her home rails. I think thats the last trip. I've seen more of the J running than any other steam engine. And that video captures the power and beauty of that engine. If i ever win the lotto or figure out the cure to aids. It's on.

  • @drfunk411 Only thing, the J was not on her home rails in this pic. This is the ex Southern Railway B-Line from Manassas to Front Royal...it's not ex N&W trackage.

  • I saw this exact train when I was a wee lad, my Uncle and my parents were chasing it, good times.

  • The whistle is so beautiful and haunting! This engine is a work of art.

  • i wish there was a video of 611 on saluda grade on oct 23 1994

  • 611 came through Buford,Ga in 1994.cool video

  • i love the N&W whistle!

  • i looked on steam central steam scheduels 1994 and may 21st was a saturday really great

  • I wish 611 was running again as well. Now all we have to watch is the F-unit office car specials, but it's just not the same.

  • Awesome!

  • this engine is one in a million. One of the most amazing Locomotives to ever Grace the rails of North America.
