Open Falcon is the most realistic and one of the most complex sims i've played. it has the usual drawbacks of free software, but i find it much better than the payware Falcon 4 Allied Force

@YaDad23 If you need just arcade flying with more or less realistics than Lock-on is for you. If you would like to go deeper, needs better realistics and simulation than OF is the right choise

Very good clip, it made me wish that I could comprehend Falcon 4 and its systems. I am a hobby pilot only, did not immerse yet into such a realistic simulator. But maybe I will, this is a good inspiration. Thank you for sharing!

@PICLex Totally agree. It's the real word, full of atmosphere of war, everything is moving there, interfering with other units, you can feel the rush hour in the air. Falcon is the best what meet me in my life, love this complexity of avionics, where everythink needs to be set manually, step-by-step in the clickable cocpit. That's the difference between Falcon and Lockon between a sim and a game.

Falcon 4 is the original which all the mods are based on. And the reason it is so amazing, is that the world around you is 'real'. Its the worlds only real dynamic campaign, there are no scripts. You can watch the combat taking place at the front lines, hear the radio calls of guys in combat. You just look around at the world and it blows you away, there's so much going on.
And with mods like FreeFalcon 5, you can fly anything from an An2 or MiG21 to a F16, F18(with carrier ops) etc.

Lock-on have better graphics, open falcon is more realist (avionic, weapons etc).
