I did not find that flat lacquer spray lightened the color. I only sprayed 2 light coats and a final coat to seal it. Maybe lightening of tan heads is caused by lots of layers or heavy spraying of the head.

Did you find the MSC washed out the tan of your doll at all? I hear that it can make it lighter.

It depends on the company how dark a tan doll will be. For the cast tan dolls that do not have the tan resin over the light resin, the color tends to be lighter. If you saw her next to a normal skin doll, she really looks tan. It is more a coffee with cream than an expresso color.
