I went out with this girl for about a year. I called her Spooky. I dont think she new what I meant. Lol. Then I sung her this song. It didnt stop her though. She was just Spooky.

Saxophone player in this song was the legendary Ronnie Laws who went on to be a well known jazz mucisian of the seventies&eighties.

When I was 17 I saw these guys at the Arrowhead Archery Lanes in Cedar Rapids, Ia. It was 1967 & I had long hair and walked by the stage when one of the band members asked "are you a drummer?" I replied yes, why? He said he'd like to have me sit in cause their drummer was leaving the band and they needed a replacement. I said I have to finish High School first and was a little taken aback at the opportunity to play with one of my favorite bands at the time... it scared me and I passed.
