Hallelujah!!! Come soon for us, Dear Lord. At the Rapture we receive our Crowns - Revelation 22:12; 2Timothy 4:8; 1Peter 5:4. The 24 elders (12 Apostles & 12 Prophets of Israel) HAVE their Crowns. We get ours then, too. Revelation 4:1-5. The "Trump of God" "Trumpet Call of God" is Jesus' VOICE, just as in Revelation 1:10-11; Revelation 4:1. We will WATCH Jesus be Crowned at His Coronation - Revelation 5:6-7 - Jesus has NO Crowns, but in Revelation 19:11-20 Jesus is wearing MANY Crowns!!

1 Thess 4 has been greatly abused by prophetic sensationalists, dispensationalists and radical futurists. The rapture is so often used to scare believers and sell books. Further, Jesus said that the time of His second coming is a secret (Mt. 24:36). Date setting and wild speculations about the "terminal generation" have done great harm to the cause of Christ and the reputations of Christians.Christianity is not a religion of escape, but a religion of day-by-day fervency, kingdom building repentance

@sedg1 If your trying to apply those verses to the Rapture, it is not. They apply to Israel & the Trib saints during the Tribulation ending. Please take time to listen to free mp3 studies at gracethrufaith (dot) com . He makes it very clear & easy to understand. What have U got to lose? Hitchcock is off the wall also,

No one ever mentions these verses.. And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Danial 12:1-2

1.Thess.4:15,and17, both repeat the same phrase, which in the Greek says "we the Living, the ones Surviving". This word "surviving" in the Greek, Posits an "end of tribulation timeline", that is, in the last three and one half years. The "surviving" is what Jesus talked about in Mt.24, when he said to His followers, that when they see the "abomination that maketh desolate",spoken by Daniel the prophet, to "flee to the mountains" and to "Endure to the end"
(That's the "surviving" in 1.thess.4:15
