Glenn Yarborough was a singer from my school days. And he was one of the very best folk singers around. His music was extraordarily beautiful and I'm so delighted to hear it here on YouTube.

@MiserableOldFart Yes glenn did the theme from the movie baby the rain must fall about a folk singer steve mcqueen played the part billy strange taught him to play the guitar enough maybe they should have used a real folksinger guitar player acting the part mcqueen handles a gun better

Phil was not just political. He could also write human, loving songs and songs of aching longing. And Glenn could sing. Thank you.

It's 1967 again! You made me feel young for the length of a song . . . Thank you! I saw Glenn in concert at Humboldt State College in 1967. He is one of a kind. So mellow . . . so beautiful. I hope a whole new generation of listeners will come to love him, too!

I think Phil Ochs wrote this song, but I prefer Glens version. Thank you for the compliment :)
