Despite the fact that many Zimbabweans risk their lives to flee Zimbabwe, the South African government has historically characterised them as voluntary economic migrants and aggressively deported them. Zimbabweans say they had little choice but to leave and thousands continue to cross the border every day, legally and illegally, as a matter of survival.
It is painful to watch what happened in Zime.. I saw it in bloom & happiness, but those times are gone. Lucky me I guess.. I have my memories & photos.

I spent 3 amazing weeks in Zimbabwe back in 1998.. by then Mugabe just started acting crazy.. it was my first time in Africa, an amazing experience.. impressive nature & wildlife, plus amazing people; happy & so welcoming.. we were backpacking on our own 7 weeks in southern Africa flexible itinerary; roughing it & laughing at overland track organised tourists that would appear next to our tent wearing their Teva sandals & pointing cameras at locals without permission..
