@Mimigidget waht are the actual lyrics? "Spill the wine! Take that girl!" that's what I bellow anyway, and your an inspiration, kids are impressionable,it's nice to hear that your raising her on decent music and she actually likes it, gives me hope for the future of music.

Sweet choice on the music, ,,,, though the video is a bit slow

Eric Burdon & War sent a little 'revolution' through the radiowaves- to the people, with this very hip dream-with-a-beat. It really was like nothing I had ever heard before or since. When they came to town, I was there.

Records with a cut groove in plastic and analog recordings were sweeter sounding than todays hard glassy digital CDs. The records sounded well oiled, smooth , going down. And you can play a record with a tin foil cone attached to a common pin, and get the sound. A million years from now the Records will be playable and the CDs meaningless. Plastic Groove, is what they will know about us, when all our fancy junk is unintelligible scrap junk . Think about that. Save Records.

@dificilseroriginal Yeah! I remember that.
How come the 45 is longer than the LP version?

@briwolfe1 They cut it down for radio play I believe. Thats why this is the most wanted copy and refered to as "Original Release".

@dizzydaves2007 Could you give more info. on the "record cleaner " you mention above,...and thanks for the post, it is one of several great songs by War and brings pleasant visions of 70's dancing in my head.
