this lesson makes me sad :( i was born with something wrong with my wrists so i cant play right handed. ive always wanted to play violin since i was really little, now im 23 and figured i can buy one. i have been doing your awesome lessons, however it turns out i must have the same issue in my left and on my right. its far less severe, but i cant manuver my 3rd finger close enough to my 2nd finger. only way i can hit the note is to slide my 2nd finger up a little. my pinky cant reach any strings

@HPIFreak I have heard of violinists who could play with only three fingers. Can you use your third finger at all? You could still learn to play, even with limited use of your third finger. You would just have to do a lot of shifting with your other two fingers. It could be done though. If you send me a video showing yourself playing, especially a view of your left hand, I might be able to help.

i just have a question, what are those notes called like for example if its an open E whats the note called if it is an E with first finger second and third?

@Zclipse thanks for the reply :) yea i can use my third finger, but do to my wrist problem i cannot put it close enough to my second finger. i have been using the sliding technique, im just worried once i get better that its going to make harder and faster songs really difficult, if not impossible. my pinkey however, its completely useless. i can barely reach the E string with it. and actually, sliding my second finger sounds kinda cool :P
