Stitch together your granny squares using yarn needle and yarn.

For this afghan I made it 7 squares across by 6 squares high for a total of 42 squares. Out of the 42 squares, 15 of them are "embroidered" with the poodles.

  • Thanks for this video. It is nicely hidden. Do you go through it again to re-enforce the stitch?

  • @freedomplease I don't go through it again but I do weave the tail in back and forth and sometimes I even add a square knot here and there.

  • i am trying to crochet a christmas stocking like my great grandma did for me. but i dont know how to end the sewing the aquares together?

  • @amandajohn423 you end it just like you do in traditional sewing. In addition while you have your yarn on a needle it's easy to weave the tail in.

  • is this afghan knit or crochet?

  • @kottonkandykisses this afghan is made up of knitted squares. The tutorial takes you through every step if you are a beginner who isn't used to knitting.

  • nycutiepie41683.... you really can't make a mistake as long as you continue to make the stitch in the same place for the entire blanket... you may even create a new technique. If you choose to follow my tutorial by stitching in the back loop, just continue to stitch in the back loop for the corners as well.
