A 3" Titanium Salute shell. I fired this from a steel mortar tube buried 1ft in a dirt/concrete mix (this mortar stays here year round).

@suzukiquads1 Read the comment I just posted to @rocknroll980. They are very easy to get/make.

Man, these titanium salutes are like solar eruptions.

@rocknroll980 Haha! You got that right! You ought to hear them for yourself! It's an experience like no other! I think us pyros are all addicted to the huge thump you feel in your chest when they go off. It's a truly incredible feeling! If you're of age, look into getting your ATF license and make some for yourself. Or, go and buy them. I don't like the ones that are sold because they just aren't loud enough. :) They are definitely loud, just not loud enough to get me excited.

@gothbro111 Aluminum is normally a bad idea, at least in my experience. PVC shatters as well. The best is honestly cardboard because it starts to warp from the heat and expulsion (lift), and if it were to explode, the shrapnel wouldn't be dangerous (it could hurt someone, but there's a slim chance). Just see what fits your needs. ALWAYS bury it at least one foot under LOOSE soil. Loosely lets it expand.
