You know what the cool part is? The main character in the film played harry potter's dad in the first harry potter films. Harry potter is now playing the main character in the remake!

First Arthur Kidd, now Arthur Kipps?

Is this movie available for sale in the USA?

I still find it amusing that the actor playing Kipps in this version would go on to play Daniel Radcliffe's dad in the Harry Potter movies. Like father like son I guess.

i REMEMBER WATCHING THIS VID AS A CHILD AND HOW IT CREEP-ED ME OUT. I downloaded all parts so i could watch the whole thing since it has been years\ I looked for it in the past, but could not recollect the name, and now that the new movie came out, i really wanted to look into what i seen as a child. i knew i wasn't hallucinating so THANK YOU TO WHOEVER POSTED THE TRUE WOMAN IN BLACK!
Does anyone know a website where you can see the DVD quality movie? I searched about 20 websites today and they all had broken links.

@TheAlexis4444 The quality here is blocky, which I'm really sorry about but unfortunately that's down to Youtube's compression. I own the original dvd, & the quality isn't what you would expect these days given that everything is HD now. The film is over twenty years old & retains its grainy quality even on the disc, which is probably just a bit better than VHS used to be.
I don't know of anywhere else you can find this film, but hope you enjoyed it anyway, even though its not perfect :-)

@nicog79 yeah, thanks for posting. it is better than nothing, as websites don't have properly working links. I have one question about the movie, the woman in black is actually the bad younger sister who had the bastard child, isn't it? She's the one who troubled the older sister, whos funeral the lawyer went to?It is the mom and the daughter that does the hauntings. But what is the connection with other kid's epitaphs at the cemetary?

@TheAlexis4444 Yes, The Woman in Black had the child out of wedlock, her name was Jeanette Humfrye. He was in fact a little boy name Nathaniel, and his mother was forced to give him to his aunt and uncle, the Drablow's, to be raised as their own child.
As the local legend goes, her ghost is hell-bent on vengeance, and any child who sees her ghost will apparently die soon after. The story hints at the fact, if I remember rightly, that the Toovey's had a child who died after seeing her ghost.

@nicog79 but the bad woman ended up dying with her own son after the carriage fell over, right? Was it his ghost that gave the Toy to the lawyer? But who is the little girl involved, it sounded like a girl laughing.

@TheAlexis4444 As the story goes, the boy was killed when the Pony and Trap carrying him across the causeway fell into the marsh during a bad sea fog, and he drowned. His mother, Jeanette Humfrye, witnessed his death and was tormented by it. Jeanette later died, but she returned to haunt Eel Marsh House and Crythin Gifford.
The toy soldier was given by Nathaniel to Arthur Kidd, and as far as I know, the laughter was Nathaniel's. I dont recall there ever being a female child in the story.
