Since I don't have room to make a real climbing wall in my apartment, I made a hit strip 45 degree small wall that I can setup and take down quickly. Gotta do what you gotta do when living in the city

  • is that plywood 1.22 x 2.44 meters?

    Thanks

  • It is two 2" x 10" boards held together by the hit strips on one side and a flat metal brace on the other side. They are cut to length for that particular location. The boards are very sturdy and I don't believe regular plywood would work. Cost was around $10-15 if I recall for the wood and hardware.

  • couldn't you do the same thing with a ladder?

  • Yes, but Hit Strips target specific finger combinations with ergonomically shaped pockets. The old school Bachar Ladder was essentially the same idea. This is more refined and climbing specific.

  • great idea!

I've (read my mother) been wanting to make something less permanent and this could be the solution.

    thanks!

  • too small mate

  • yea, yesterday i used those things for the first time and i def. see what you mean.

  • Yes, those are the Hit Strips from Nicros. That's not plywood. It's 2 2x10's mounted together with joiner plates. They aren't breaking under any normal load.

  • did you get that from nicros? u might wanna support the middle part of that ply wood. hehe
