This song was issued in 1963, immediately before her big hit My Guy, which went to the top of the UK charts in 1964. Although a Tamla Motown recording, written by Smokey Robinson, this was issued in the UK on Stateside.

  • how do you make it sound so clear when you are playing it on the record player and recording it at the same time please tell me b/c i am going to start doing this

  • I record the sound into a minidisc recorder via the headphone socket on my amp, so that I then have a digital signal to work with. I feed that into my computer as a .wav file and then I just match up the silent video and the music using Windows MovieMaker. Simples.

  • One of the earlier ones, she sounds great and the music is fantastic. Thank you for sharing this.

  • Her all time best; I still remember when it came out. I was in 8th grade and my girlfriend had this record and we would play it over and over when I went to her house. Her mother even liked it and would play records with us. I thought that was cool until years later at our high school reunion she told me that he mother confessed that she could keep her eyes on us if she listened with us. We both laughed because both of our mothers are gone now and hers pulled the wool over our naive eyes.

  • Single was released in August 1963 as Motown 1048
