The BBC has defended filming techniques used in parts of the nature series, Frozen Planet.

There has been criticism of the decision to use footage of polar bear cubs which was filmed in a zoo, without making it clear to the audience.

The Director General, Mark Thompson, and the Chairman of the BBC Trust, Chris Patten, were questioned by MPs at the Culture Media and Sport Committee.

  • are you serious???? What a fucking waste of Taxpayer's money.

  • Why are MP's wasting their time questioning the people who produced Frozen Planet? It is a wonderful series and is a shining example of the sort of use that TV SHOULD be put to instead of the brain dead "reality" shows that fill our screens.

  • Whittingdale is an idiot. Like only 32 people watched the website. Im sure the BBC have the figures for how many did watch the website. Im sure its more than 32!
