  • Wonderful song but still Robin & Linda Williams sing it best

  • No doubt about it, the first time we heard this song at The Strawberry Music Festival sung by Robin and Linda Williams we were knocked off our chairs. Our version is a pale, but heartfelt relica, especially since this was the one and only time we've done this song on stage. It takes a while to really make a song your own. We also heard "Lyin' to the Moon" that night and immediately went back to our camp and tried to get a handle on it.

  • Hey Beverley, is that you? Going to The West is one od mine.

  • I used to think that Robin and Linda couldn't be beat on this song, but this is a fantastic version.

  • Hi, I don't know the original version but yours is great. And what a voice!

  • @mattschwar have you heard Tim and Mollie O'Brien's version?

  • Oh my! This is beautiful, you all are GREAT! Thank you so much!

  • There's also a fine version by Tim & Molly O'Brien from their '94 CD "Away On the Mountain".

  • This may well be the best version of this much underappreciated song. Elyse Witt also does a fine version if you ever get a chance to hear it
