I read the series, and what a series it is. Unbelievable how good it is. I've read TONS of sci-fi, and these books, starting with On Basilisk Station, is my all time favorite. Just wonderful, at least until you get way down the list to War of Honor which was a let down for me, as was the following book At All Costs. But the previous (nine?) books in this series are so good you won't care. Just consider Ashes of Victory the last book in the series and you will be happy with the universe. Really!
It is her 3rd ship she commanded but only the 2nd hyper-capable ship. It is the first ship you see her command in the series, unless David Weber does a short story of one of the ships she coammanded in the past. It is a great series and there are already two spin-off series but highly connected to the main series.
