but only once the photo had been recognised. I think what he meant was that the text-recognition doesn't work for photos with Japanese text in them.

It's a BS app, wish I watched this video before purchasing.

It doesn't support photos of Japanese text, but it can still translate Japanese normally.

I haven't tried the app yet, but I'm a little confused about the end of the review, which complains about "the price being asked." It's $3... was there a recent price drop or something, 'cause otherwise that complaint doesn't make any sense to me.
