I guess Voltron, Gundam, Megas XLR, EXO-Squad, Robotech, Mechwarrior, Robot Jox, Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot, Giant Robo, Getter Robo and Mazinger Z, were all Evangelion influenced as well.     You yanks need to stop claiming this and calling it "american Evangelion".

    You can't claim the monsters, they're from another dimension. They're referred to as 'Kaiju' (A Japanese word).

    You can't claim the mechs either cause only one is american. The others are Russian and Chinese etc. Stop calling it 'american evangelion'.

    If you must, refer to it as 'a film of evangelion.' Just stop it with the american crap.

    ok point goes to you.. but that one was produced in Japan and honestly although I've only seen like 4 live action adaptations from Japan (2 were deathnote films) they all were GOOD.. So I'll only trust an adaptation if it made in Japan... if Hollywood tries it'll most likely be an FAIL :/
