Hello Maplers :) (if you find something unnameable that annoys you, it's probably the resemblance the verse melody (and chord progression) bears with "Friday"... lol... this was totally unintended. I apologize.)

I was recently chosen for the 6th anniversary Tespia batch and wanted to share some of the new content in a non-walloftext way. So I wrote a song and made a video! Enjoy!
First off, I'm a Mapler who (1) likes making vids and (2) likes bringing new content to the fore in a new, lolistic way. To view my silly video that explains almost all of it, go here.That being said, if you want a more texty description, here it is:

there are two main updates in the next patch (Cake Vs. Pie). Before I get into them, I'll need to explain some basics. Once a day, talk to one of the new NPCs, Cake Boss Daniel or Pie Lord Tiara to become either a Pie Lover or a Cake lover. This is only temporary (until midnight). Then you will be able to pick up your dessert (cake or pie, depending on who you are) and turn in to your respective NPC. When a certain number of cakes/pies have been turned in, that Team will take over the town. The major updates are:
Boss Raid

1) An ani-like raid where every 30 minutes (starting at 15 after the hour) a green envelope pops up that you can click on and will send you to a 1 minute waiting room (like Ani) where you can form a party. You then must kill your opponent's Giga (so if you're a cake lover you kill the pie boss) and a whole lot of cakes/pies drops for the winning team (i.e. if you win you will be able to contribute more to the town takeover). This is mostly all this raid is good for.
Town Takeover

2) More importantly is the takeover itself. After the takeover you will receive a red envelope (again similar to Ani) where you go into another waiting room. This time, you will be assigned as either the attacking team or the defending team, depending on your cake/pie team.

The attacking team tries to destroy "the barricade" by either (1) using skills and attacking it (better for high levels) or (2) "attack"ing a flour sack, which summons little cake/pie bombs. These bombs will walk to the right to the barricade and if they hit it will do a tremendous amount of damage. That being said, they're relatively easy to be killed by your opponents.

The defending team has a much tougher job, as if your opponents are only using strategy 1 then there's nothing you can do but twiddle your thumbs. However, if they are using strategy 2 you can either attack the bombs to explode them before they reach their target or you can drop this special item (which is dropped from the barricade) on a blue and red pillar to either slow down the bombs movement or do a lot of damage to the bombs (the second would be more helpful for a lower level party). Again, with higher levels, the defending team really has a lame job.
Purpose of the town takeover

I won and lost a few times each, and each time I won, I received about 76k experience and 6 insignias and lost received 58k exp and only 1 insignia. Make sure you wait until all the other battles are finished, or else you won't receive your reward. Once they are, click on the npc's to receive it. These insignias may be exchanged for maple weapons (50-60 ea), Chaos Scrolls (125), WS's (300), what seems to be a free weapon cover (175), a chair (200), a 2-person Mount (300), and two shoulder equips (1 and 2 att) (300 and 400, respectively).

Also after you won you receive access to 3 mini dungeons, levels 40-70 I believe, though these monsters give significantly less experience than similar monsters at Haunted House. And finally, if you win you receive 10% bonus experience when you kill monsters! Groovy!

Well done man , very great job . I really liked it and I think you should work for Nexon as updates reviewer . This video is simple but with all information needed and this song is really great it fits the video and event .
