Check out the new colorful ArtBridge website: www.singaporeartbridge.com . . . . The video chronicles the painting of the Alkaff Bridge in Singapore by the late Asian-American artist Pacita Abad. Pacita was born in Batanes, the northern-most island of the Philippines and died in Singapore in 2004 after a three-year battle with lung cancer and shortly after completing the painting of the Bridge. She created more than 5,000 works of art during her 32-year artistic career. More info on Pacita at www.pacitaabad.com

My article on Pacita Abad can be found in Self-Portraits 2 (Ateneo U. Press, 2003) co-authored by Sylvia M. Ventura & Thelma B. Kintanar. Aside from profiles of Filipino women artists, the book contains interviews and reproductions of their artwork.
Thank you all, who made this wonderfully alive video possible. Our dearest Pacita will continue to live vibrantly in our hearts through all the efforts such as this. God bless! Eva C.
