I wathched him vs southgate. he was probably the biggest kid out there and he trucked a kid so hard they had to take him out on a strecher. he also has a can arm and the ability to break tackles. make defenders miss which complements his speed. he could be starting next year and i hope he does.
i just saw him play tonight in the state playoffs against south gate and he is sooo good. on top of his size and his 4.4 speed is has a dime arm. is has so much zip and accuracy. cant wait to see him in maize and blue!
Agreed - he's graduating early, you give him spring ball, and his first year (to red shirt), and let him come in as a red shirt freshman and compete. he obviously has the size, speed, and athleticism - all he needs to do is work on his throwing and get more comfortable with it. regardless the future is bright
Let him redshirt. We need him to get that extra year for learning, and so he doesn't just ride under tate's shadow. tate will get better. But Gardner will be better if he gets that throwing motion under control.
I really wish he was a better thrower. If he was, than he could beat out tate for the starting job. but i dont think he is good enough for rich rod to start yet ANOTHER freshmen quarterback.
thats how good he is they don't even celebrate he scored so much =D
