  • why wouldnt you like any of the characters?

i felt tim in chapter 4 of the book was closely related to what kinda person i am, i thought it was all awesome anyway :P

  • they're just not likable people, which is fine. i think the book paints a few characters as a little more likable than the film does.

  • I presume that you finished the book by now so I was wondering if your opinion has changed on the film. I am pretty pissed because I still have not been able to see the film. Fans seem split on it though.

  • yes, I did finish the book and I enjoyed it quite a bit!!! My opinion on the film hasn't changed at all, I still think that the film is pretty solid...there's definitely some stuff left out (actually my favorite short stories "Letters From LA" and the vampire one aren't there) but it's still definitely good.

  • The film was not at all boring to you?

  • I wouldn't say bored...maybe repetitious? But that's how the novel felt to me as well so it worked for me...I really liked the concept that the conclusion is that there is no conclusion since these characters will just keep on living their lives the way they are.

  • Rotten Tomatoes sucks dick

  • great review

  • YES! right on dude! finally I hear a decent criticism on this film. I like the fact that you saw what was deep inside this movie. And I agree with you when you say that you can hate the characters in a movie, but you can ablosulutely love the movie.

  • great film!

  • wow. your a gay lol

  • you've hit the proverbial nail on the head, sir! this film is dark, nihilistic and doesn't adhere to any sort of linear plot... just like the book. i really loved it, but i'm an ellis advocate so i'm biased. :-P

  • I really enjoyed this movie. I thought it portrayed the film very well. Brett Easton Ellis is great ;).

  • Yea, I Think the way the book ends is very real. It kinda makes you question some things like your own morals. And much like real life it kinda leaves you hanging with no real answers. Sounds to me like it hit the mark perfectly though... Just needed some more scenes. I think that they are going to release the dvd with a lot more scenes.
