Truly a mind blowing experience.

5 x 27" ASUS monitors
Sapphire HD 6870 Flex Edition
Dirt 3 (free with card)

Settings are on "high" at 9600 x 1080. Framerate is smooth (iPhone 3GS footage is horrible). Full 180 degrees of peripheral vision.

  • Completely lag free with high settings on. I mean, I didn't think it could do it, but it handled VERY well, and was an incredible experience. It only has 1GB (GDDR5) RAM, but it's enough. Played Battlefield 3 and MW3 on max settings and hold steady at 30-40+ FPS, which is VERY playable. That was only on one screen though...

  • I have the same monitor :D but one xD

  • @Killerinx - we're up to 10 (or more) at the office. A few people have two.

Four of these five were used for a tradeshow display. I really want to hook it up again, though.

  • omg gamers :D

  • How does a Radeon HD 6870 render so many pixels so quickly? My Radeon HD 6970 in Dirt2 with 3 1080p monitors has to go to pretty low details with no AA for 60fps. Waiiiit does your card have 1GB or 2GB. With only 1GB you would possibly be in trouble there.

  • CON TRES MONITORES SERIA SUFICIENTE.. NO CREES...!!! LOS OTROS DOS SON PURO DESPILFARRO... JAJAAJAJAJAJ

  • I kinda need help, can I get a little advice.

I have a ATI Radeon HD 6870 Flex Edition card, But for some reason when i hook 3 monitors up, and arrange the Display to 3X1 Landscape The left and right monitor has this funny invisible line in the middle of both monitors, So when i take a window and drag it from the left monitor all the way to the right, they cut the window and half of the window lags. All monitors are the same, All have DVI cables hooked up, each has same resolution. any advice?

  • @RadeonFighterz - Thanks!

  • @tazinlwfl There's not really an option for it. I've only seen a tiny handful of games that have the proper options to fix it. iRacing is one of them and I think it only supports 3 viewports. 5x1 landscape should work fine for a lot. The problem is that such an absurd aspect ratio causes a higher grade of distortion. To the point that the side information becomes useless, it looks.

  • @Zencyde - never saw any option for that. I'll have to look again. I just set up Eyefinity (5x1 landscape), loaded up Dirt3, set the resolution and played. No hacking or trickery involved (a lot of people think that only the new 6990 can do 5 x 1 landscape, and their latest "demo" running Dirt 3 is the exact same set up I have, but with an older card :P)
