Post renaissance faire, Jack Dagger and I throw two prototype tomahawks, one being regular steel and the other damascus steel (aaaaaahhhhhhhh).

I loved the traditional damascus pipe hawk because 1) it had a good feel, 2) beaaauutiifuuuul damascus steel, and 3) the functional pipe bowl at the end!

  • What I wouldn't give to hang out with Jack Dagger for a day and get some pointers on my technique. The only videos I have as of now is just me playing songs but my wife says I should do more on my other hobbies. Is it worth taking the time to video log everything?

  • @jasonpeters82 Jack actually does personal knife lessons-- check out his channel at JackDaggerTKOF. He's amazing at knowing exactly what you need to change with your throw. In any case, you can always purchase his very informative Knife Throwing 101 DVD on his website!

  • You still throwing knives at your zombie posters? lol

  • @Neloangelo1989 Yup! I got some new posters too, which I want to break in soon! Hopefully I'll get a video of that this break :)

  • I grew up on a farm in West Virginia, so chopping wood and splitting kindling, felling trees with double bitted axes was learned very young out of necessity to keep warm. I am very good with these tools in their traditional fashion. But to watch this and see people who can accomplish such skills, I am in awe. I can't throw any 'hawk or blade worth a darn. I'd catch a whoppin had I tried throwing any tool as a kid, which extended in my professional careers. Amazing stuff.

  • @DCASinWooster It's actually quite easy-- better if the tool is made for throwing. Thanks for sharing :)
