  • wow this is genius!!! how long did it take to make?

  • @imnoobatcwalkin Not that long using World Edit ;)

  • From what the Minecraft Wiki says, hostile mobs can spawn within 272 blocks of a player, meaning an area 575 blocks long and wide would need to be cleared down to bedrock and have some kind of mob-spawn preventing block placed on them to get max results. Again, this is if the wiki is correct.

  • @ssjhamtaro Yep, this trap was made before 1.5. It used to be 144 blocks.

  • Mass genocide has never been so cool

  • @WxMLovatt It's all about the science of it. In a single player game, you'd be hard pressed to make use out of 500-1000 items/hr. In multiplayer, 2000-5000 items/hr is the most you could do without causing devastating lag when a player is in vicinity of the trap, even on the beefiest servers. It's just about the science, innovation, spectacle and seeing what Minecraft can actually do. I hope that helps wrap your head around it. If you've never stood beneath a 5000+ mob trap, I highly recommend it

  • @EpicRealms In mines, which give me only probably like a hundred IPH (Items Per Hour) To kill them, I just only used 1 cobble and 1 sticky piston because spiders are 2x2 big so it would crush them instead of the old fashion way for me, shooting them with arrows.

  • lol myspace...no body uses that anymore

  • Cool but I think u could make it better by making the spawning rooms bigger

  • flat glass map? thanks!

  • wow super nice, clear and concise way of explaining what you did and how you did it!

    Keep up the great work!

  • @ssjhamtaro Nice! I'll have to try that ;)

  • @EpicRealms What I'm doing with the water inside the tower is putting a bock in the middle of the 2 sources, and that keeps the water flowing towards the middle, while only losing 1 block. The other option is to have the water falling down by putting it up on the divider between the water pools, and the falling water it creates doesn't combine, so you can get the effect that way. It would have to replace 2 of the blocks you normally have in the divider though.

  • I built a trap before that gave me about 7,500 items an hour but a creeper got out and blew a hole in the wall and that was the end of that
