INDIA 2011 - THE POVERTY

In January 2011, three pupils and two teachers from Victoria College Belfast travelled to Dehradun, India. On return, four videos were created. These depict different themes. The following video demonstrates the poverty experienced throughout the trip. However, it highlights the fact that whilst many may be poor in pocket, this does not make them poor in heart or in spirit!

I am an Indian. And we cannot deny that our country is one of the worst countries in the world.Indians are dying of hunger yet our Elite and middle class try to shut their eyes and convince themselves that India is the best country in the world because "they respect their elders" or are exceptionally smart :-/. I fucking hate it because no one in my country is ready to open their eyes and look at the truth.

@MultiJustmyopinion when they "looted" you, their must have only been a around 250,000 british at the most in india, your population would have been 400 -500 million so why did you not stop them?

its a third world country always will be. the only civilization they have is what the british gave them, Trains, roads, a political system, democracy. after they left it turned back into the jungle again.

@StilwellPoleBarns oh really the only civilization we ever had was because of the british not really they have looted us more than they have done any good for us, and the tracks and roads they have constructed were for developing their trade and business not for the benefit of indians they came to india as traders and looted us.
